Freedom House for Women exist to create opportunities for women to transition into the mainstream of our community by establishing and maintaining housing, family unity, employment, educational opportunities and sober living to enhance their quality of life.
Freedom House for Women services are designed to meet our client’s needs in a holistic approach. Our goal is to meet the client’s physiological and psychological needs through the provision of providing comfort, safety, knowledge, acceptance, understanding and recognition of one’s full potential to excel, obtain and achieve their dreams and aspirations.
AMHA
Freedom House for Women, Inc. works in collaboration with Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA) to provide opportunties to prevent homelessness for public housing participants due to substance abuse.
About Freedom House for Women
Freedom House for Women, Inc. is a non-profit organization which was founded in January 2003. The Board of Directors was formed in March 2003, which is comprised of a group of diverse professional community educators, mental health service providers and judicial leaders who are governed and committed to the mission, vision and establishment of Freedom House for Women, Inc. The agency received its 501© (3) non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service in November 2004.
